A poem

Knight in shining armor
Oh how you feign chivalry
You say you care but you never share,
What scares you most about me?
My Past, My present?
Or who I make you want to be?

A damsel in distress is what you see
But underneath shes made of steel
Sharp and cruel, twisted and hard

What will you do when your armor tarnishes
and you find your just the same?
What will you do when your skewed outlook
comes back at you with dragon's flame?

She is becoming bitterer
He is not a fighter
He doesn't see what she sees

Her lash can penetrate the hardest armor
leaving lasting wounds
all she wants is to meet her match
the one who can make it last
Not some knight in shining armor.
